[{"type":"header","subtype":"h3","label":"What is the Gender Self Assessment Tool (G-SAT)?"},{"type":"paragraph","label":"This Gender Self Assessment Tool (G-SAT) was developed by IMPACT to support gender sensitivity within Syrian civil society. It is directed to Syrian Civil Society organizations to help them develop a strategy to integrate gender more fully into their programming and organizational structure. This G-SAT is a self-assessment tool in which all staff within the organization take part of evaluating the current status of gender equality at their workplace. The main purpose of this tool is to help identify gaps, areas of strength and achievements, relevant policies or practices, and continuing challenges as a basis for action planning, towards gender mainstreaming. The G-SAT focuses on two dimensions: programming and organizational structure. The IMPACT team and lead gender consultant have identified key indicators of progress towards achieving gender equality, based on their experiences in trending research on gender equality, gender mainstreaming, and organizational change. Once you have completed the G-SAT questions, your responses will be tallied and analyzed. The results of the analysis will serve as the basis for a tailored report on gender mainstreaming status in your organization.
